A Movie Review of “Firestarter” (2022)
Firestarter (2022)
Runtime: 94mins Directed by Keith Thomas
The only thing burning brightly here is me, and it’s with incandescent rage, because I’m utterly incensed at how badly they dropped the ball here. This movie lost the literal plot, hardcore. Although I suppose I should be grateful for the fact I could hardly see any of that acted out due to the piss poor lighting. All that Stephen King money and you couldn’t spend any of it turning the lights on or hiring someone who knows what words are? Big sad. At least Zac Efron looks smokin’ hot as a dad so there’s some fanning of the flames in that aspect. Not much elsewhere though... Thankfully I had laundry to do to entertain me while watching this.
A prayer: May the lead kid actress FIRE her current agent and get a better agent to land her decent roles so she stands a chance of incinerating this from her CV, because this isn’t her fault.
